Environmental health in the medical field is of major concern when designing disposable products. Medical products packaging design, patent illustration for instructions for use, and surgical implant procedures are included in this phase of illustration.

Areas studied are the heart valves, the issues of vein reconstruction and grafting, patches and meshes for hemeroid repair, ligament repair of the knee, and other regional illustration projects.
